Dream Holiday Destinations

If you’re a celebrity it is more than likely that you are going to have a large sum of money you are able to spend on anything and everything you wish. So for a celebrity choosing a holiday destination really probably isn’t a problem, and so it is likely most celebrities visit the destinations in which we can only dream of visiting; and just to rub it in a little (not sure why) I have decided to come up with a list of popular destinations in which celebrities holiday.

Saint-Tropez, France. With luscious beaches and the beautiful rays of sun why would this not be a celebrity hot spot!? Saint-Tropez has been said to be the most famous resort in Europe, celebrities such as: Jay Z, Beyonce and the Beckhams have been pictured holidaying here.

Maui, Hawaii. This is one of the most popular holiday destinations for celebrities as it has so much to offer including scuba diving, golfing and so many other interesting things can be done. Celebrities including Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kate Hudson and Ben Affleck have been seen holidaying in Maui.

the caribbean islandsSaint Barthelemy, Caribbean. This is a small, volcanic island located in the northwest Caribbean Sea. It is a fairly small island but attracts a lot of celebrity holiday goers, and is considered one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.

Lake Como, Italy. Italy is a very beautiful destination great for kicking back and relaxing on Lake Como. The lake has been a popular vacation spot for the rich and influential for a long time and is most definitely one to add to the list of dream holiday destinations.

Mykonos. Not only do a lot of celebrities holiday here but some even have their very own houses on Mykonos and like to hang out there in months which aren’t such a popular time for tourists visiting. Greece isn’t one of the most popular destinations, even though it is very luxurious, but for celebrities getting the chance to get away from photographers and gossip this is the ideal destination to get some peace and quiet.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This is a popular destination because its gorgeous and is fairly close to home, which is ideal for celebrities if they want a quick getaway. Celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox and George Clooney are regular visitors of Cabo San Lucas.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia. This is one of the more expensive holiday destinations (making it the perfect candidate to go on a dream holiday destination list). So if you manage to win the lottery this is somewhere you should take the chance to visit as fi you’re not a celebrity it is much harder to come up with the funds for a holiday such as this!

Mallorca, Spain. This is such a classy place and so obviously attracts classy people and a few celebrities even have their own place there!

Malibu. This is a destination not so private, and some celebrities enjoy the fact this isn’t such a private destination. So, if you plan on visiting here (which is more likely in our price range) you could expect to bump into a celebrity as many have been photographed chilling in the beautiful beaches.

Reasons to Book a Villa

There are so many advantages to booking a villa rental instead of booking a hotel. Firstly, if you have a big family or there is a big group of you all going on holiday then it will work out a lot cheaper! Imagine, if there are 10 of you and you can only have 3 or 4 people in each hotel room you will end up having to book another 2 rooms on top of that, which will all together work out a lot more expensive!

Service; there will be no waiting around until the hotel says its times for dinner, you’ll be able to make food whenever you wish, you won’t have maids coming in to do room service and cleaning and so you’ll be able to do what you want. And talking of food, if you rent a villa with a pool you’ll be able to have poolside BBQ’s with as much food as you wish, and will cost you a lot less than paying for one at a 5 star hotel.

Privacy, want to wander round your villa wearing just your bikini or stay in  your pj’s or dressing gown all day long? Then you can, you can do exactly what you want, have your music as loud as you wish, watch DVD’s literally anything as you won’t have anyone coming into your room to clean.

Location, most villas are in the most luxurious destinations in the most beautiful locations, such as beachfront, ocean views or even on private islands. Most villas are also very tasteful and comfortable making the whole holiday experience amazing.

Security, you won’t have to worry about paying extra money for a safety deposit box or even any of the other extras that hotels make you pay including air conditioning and extra fans. Finally, if you go out of season you will find some amazing deals, especially if you have flexibility when it comes to the dates of going.

So if this isn’t enough to persuade you as to why you should rent a villa on holiday then I don’t know what is!

Romantic Short Breaks

Taking your loved way on a nice romantic short break just to get away from everything and spend some alone time together is always a good idea to do every once in a while. There are a range of destinations and types of accommodation perfect for this. Like renting a villa. Perfect. This will allow you two to spend time together just you two, nobody else around to be able to bother you, and it also means you can cook each other romantic meals in the evening or perhaps go out for romantic meals in the evening as you’ll be able to do exactly what you like.

Destinations perfect to rent a villa for a short romantic getaway would be France. France is always a tick in the box for short getaways and definitely a good one for a romantic holiday. With all the beautiful sights to see including the Eiffel Tower and all the beautiful restaurants and cuisine available it is the perfect place.

Beach holidays are always a great choice if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday just time to get away from work and all the stresses you have when at home. On a beach holiday you can chill by the sea, sunbathe and get yourself that forever wanted tan and when it gets too hot you can go take a dip in the sea to cool down. Sounds like heaven. But some destinations have a few different beaches! Barbados, definitely one of the more luxurious holiday destinations and definitely has several beaches. So here is a list of the best beaches in Barbados:

Visiting the Caribbean Islands but want to be in for a chance of bumping into a celebrity? Then these are the islands you should be thinking about booking to go to:

Celebrities who often go include Jay-Z and Beyonce, Matt Damon, Usher, Ashton Kutcher and Jason Statham. Due to being a very luxurious resort it is likely that most celebrities and visitors will stay on their yachts or rent out a private villa. However, the top hotel to stay at is Hotel Guanahani and Spa. Bahamas – relax on the pristine beaches and enjoy a huge range of water activities including, snorkelling among the coral reefs, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving. Puerto Rico – has a lot to offer, after spending the day on the beach you can explore the charming cobblestone streets and hit the late night casinos and salsa clubs. Johnny Depp, Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and Morgan Freeman have been spotted holidaying in this destination. The Ritz Carlton right on the ocean is a popular hotel where Jennifer Lopez herself has stayed.

Jamaica – this is the Caribbean’s third largest island and is known for its reggae, endless supplies of run and laid back vibe, which definitely attracts a lot of celebrities. Such as: Kate Moss, Jude Law, Eddie Murphy and Gwen Stefani. A lot of these celebrities enjoy staying at the Round Hill Hotel and Villas or for a remote experience stay in a cottage hilltop hideaway.

Good luck trying to bump into your favourite celebrity on holiday!

Dunn’s River Falls – is a famous waterfall in Jamaica, a major tourist attraction which receives thousands of visitors each.

Pitons – these are two of the most photographed landmarks on the island. So if you enjoy going hiking or mountain climbing this is one attraction definitely suited to you.

Pigeon Island National Park – is a 40 acre islet in the northern region of Saint Lucia. The Saint Lucia Jazz Festival is held here and the sight itself has a lot of history behind it.

Kensington Oval – is a stadium located in Bridgetown on the island of Barbados. It is mainly used as a sport facility, hosting mostly cricket.

Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca – is a fortress on the coast of the Cuban city of Santiago de Cuba and overlooks the bay. Enjoy sightseeing and historical attractions? This is definitely one place you should visit.

Top Restaurants to visit in Italy

Italy has some of the best food around (I believe) which should mean they have some amazing restaurants, which they do. As well as being a luxurious holiday destination, the food in Italy is “to die for”. Here are a few of the best restaurants in Rome:

1. Fortunato al Pantheon has a very classic Italian menu as well as a different “Chef’s Specials” everyday for you to choose from. From reading reviews they have a smoker’s room, which is something a lot of smokers would be happy to hear, instead of having to stand out in the cold to have a cigarette! As well as being said to have a really nice old fashioned style to it.

2. Ditirambo is a small, intimate restaurant but lively and inviting with its beamed ceilings and stone arches, giving it that gorgeous old fashioned style feel, just what you would expect in a place like Rome. They sell the classic Italian menu, as you would expect, and expect in most restaurants in Italy.

3. II Convivio di Trioanai is known as one of the best restaurants in the city and is a place for special occasions with its elegant rooms and beautiful tableware. There is lots of variation to the menu with its traditional Roman favourites to its modern Italian cuisine.

4. La Tavernaccia is a family run restaurant visited frequently by visitors, however, there is always a warm and friendly service. With all the best local cuisine, just what you expect to get when visiting the beautiful city of Rome.

5. Roma Sparita is one of the most beautiful piazzas, and is a survivor of a side of Rome that has almost disappeared. The menu is short but is full of tasty meals, with everything you would expect from a traditional Roman menu.

So if you’re going to Italy expect most of the restaurants to be classic and have beautiful Italian menus. But obviously, why would you want to go on holiday and not have different cuisine you can enjoy and try.

Best Restaurants in Miami

If you’re planning on going on a self-catering holiday this is usually the best time to try out all the best restaurants available in the destination you’re visiting. As this is a luxury travel blog I have found the places I believe to be the most luxurious and come up with a list of the best restaurants to visit. The first destination I am going to be talking about is Miami, on the telly this always looks so luxurious and is a place definitely on my list to visit.

Yardbird Southern Table and Bar is a family styled bar, but it is also Southern influenced and so their drinks and a few things on their menu are made with bourbon.

De Rodriguez Cuba has a menu full of traditional Cuban classics “elevated to new heights”, as well as some of Miami’s freshest seafood. With great reviews this restaurant has said to “elevate the classics to fine-dining status without forgetting its roots”.

DB Bistro Moderne has a mixed and varied menu including classic French cuisine, international fare and modern American dishes. Meaning there will be something on the menu for everyone.

Hakkasan  is the place to go if you enjoy a nice Chinese cuisine. Some of the most simple dishes such as sweet and sour chicken have been taken to the next level giving you some of the best Chinese cuisine you have ever tasted. With its nightclub atmosphere this is less of a family-styled restaurant.

Zuma  is a restaurant inspired by the traditional dining style of izakaya, with the food being cooked on display and elevated to brilliant fine dining levels. This allows you to try the beautiful Japanese cuisine as well have having an accessible and lively experience by watching your food being cooked in front of your eyes.

Palme d’Or is a high class fine French dining. If you’re looking for a luxurious dining experience this is definitely the place for you, with all the cuisine you would expect to see for the prices available.

This is just a small selection of the many beautiful restaurants and amazing cuisine Miami has to offer. Keep an eye out for more ideas of the best restaurants in the most luxurious places.

Short Getaways

Everyone needs a break at some point in the year, especially if you work Monday to Friday, sometimes weekends are just not enough and a nice weeks luxury break would be much preferred. Plus, having a week booked off work gives you something to look forward, allowing you to count day the days until your holiday instead of counting down the minutes until the end of work.

However, you need to actually book your holiday first, so here are a few destinations perfect for a short trip:

Las Vegas, booking yourselves into a luxurious hotel and living a week full of luxurious will make your trip even better, allowing you time to relax, will make going home that little bit easier as most people are used to having the luxuries of Las Vegas all the time! Take a stroll along the strip and admire the huge amounts of bright lights you would never see anyway other than a luxury destination like Las Vegas. As well as being luxurious there are also many attractions to keep you occupied throughout your holiday if you don’t just want to spend the week chilling.

Helsinki, Finland, being a pedestrian friendly city lots of people enjoy this beautiful destination. There is so much available to do, but Helsinki would be the perfect place to go if you want a relaxed time. You can spend your time people-watching on the tree-lined Esplanadi or splash the cash by visiting the huge Stockmann’s department store on Mannerheim Street, or take a look round the open-air marketing in the harbour bustles.

San Diego, California is a very laid back destination also perfect for a more relaxed getaway. San Diego has a huge range of animals and would be perfect for anyone who is an animal lover, as you could spend days viewing all the attractions that have filled with animals in their zoo’s, safari parks and at Sea World.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica is not far from a small resort town which was once home to the famous author behind the James Bond movies, Sir Ian Fleming. There are plenty of nice beach front properties to stay in creating the most luxurious holiday getaway feel ever. I mean who wouldn’t enjoy the idea of waking up to the beach and sea right in front of you, and being able to go for that much deserved morning dip in the sea.

Nuremberg, Germany for people who enjoy history will enjoy a trip here, you can find out all about the Nazi past, from the site of Nuremberg trials to the rally grounds where Adolf Hitler was feted. However, there isn’t just all the history to draw you to this destination for your short getaway, there are attractions such as the Toy Museum and a variety of restaurants.

Or why not stay local and visit Edinburgh, with their specialist area being whiskey and literature why not take a tour of the whiskey distilling process at the Scotch Whiskey experience or, take a visit round the writers museum. Another main attraction of Edinburgh is the castle which attracts 1.3 million visitors annually.

If these aren’t enough ideas to persuade you to go on a short getaway (if you actually need persuading) then I don’t know what else will. With all these luxury holiday getaway destinations you will not want to come home, but at the same time will make coming home that little bit easier after a well deserved break.
