Celeb Spotting

If you’re going on holiday to the Caribbean or fancy staying somewhere where you’re likely to bump into a celeb then I have good news for you. Here are the 3 best Caribbean Islands for celebrity spotting…

1. St Barthelemy

Superstars to have been spotted here include Jay-Z and Beyonce, Matt Damon, Uma Thurman, Usher, Ashton Kutcher and Jason Statham. Although, many of these celebs will stay on their yachts when holidaying in St Barthelemy but who is to say you won’t see them wandering round the beach at some point? Bruce Willis and Jay-Z enjoy eating at the terrace of the Carl Gustaf Hotel which is on a hill overlooking the harbour.

2. Bahamas

Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been caught having a cheeky getaway to the Bahamas on several occasions. Cindy Crawford even married there right on the beach! Fancy bumping into a celeb you should visit Sip Sip where Robert de Niro and Diane von Furstenburg have lunched.

3. Anguilla

This island offers posh boutique hotels and the “postcard perfect” beaches we all dream of visiting. Sandra Bullock, Orlando Bloom, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Aniston and Janet Jackson have been papped holidaying here. Celebrities looking for a bit of privacy stay in the Viceroy which is a stylish resort with a saltwater infinity pool, Orlando Bloom and model Miranda Kerr even honeymooned here!

But obviously most celebrities have the money to spend on extremely luxurious so if you’re still looking for somewhere you can holiday like a celebrity but not have to pay the high price you should check out Top Villas.

Tackling problems that may occur on long haul flights Blog

There can be many aspects to prepare for when flying a long journey; below are some hints and tips that can help your journey pass quicker and seem easier;

1) Knowing what to wear on a long haul flight is a must as you need to be comfortable for the lengthy journey ahead. As the flights get longer, your outfits should be cosier. Making sure that your are warm on the flight is an essential, as there is always air conditioning, and if you are without a jacket  the journey will be most uncomfortable. Another tip to tackle the air conditioning is to moisturise before your flight, as it dries out your skin, alongside bringing a chap stick, so your lips maintain the moisture.

2) Shoes need to be practical as if you have a transfer flight, you need to get from A to B in a specific amount of time, carrying your hand luggage, sometimes collecting suitcases; therefore wearing shoes that have a heel or that don’t fit perfectly could cause discomfort- which if you are wearing them for a long period of time, you do not want to be experiencing the pain!

3) Make sure you get plenty of sleep. Although plane chairs are not the easiest sorts of chairs to relax in, try to get a good amount of sleep, as it will make the journey go a lot quicker! This can be easier if you bring music with you, as you can drift off to the sound of your songs instead of to a baby crying!

4) Keep hydrated! You may underestimate how much the air conditioning affects your system, so make sure you buy a bottle of water at the airport, or buy a drink on the flight!

The destination is well worth the flight, therefore being slightly uncomfortable for a short amount of time, in comparison to the whole duration of your stay abroad will be worth it!

Fancy going on holiday somewhere cold?

Fancy something a little different and taking a trip to somewhere cold? Well I have come up with a list of the best destinations to visit if you like the cold!

Russia: why not wrap up warm in one of the famous Russian hats with the ear flaps and a huge jacket to keep yourselves warm in Russia; and (for the adults) why not a take a few shots of vodka with a meal to warm up inside even more! With so much to do in Russia whilst wandering around in the nice cold fresh air and perhaps with snow under your feet, how could this not be the perfect cold holiday destination?

Lapland, Finland: this most definitely sounds like a great place to visit! Not only is it cold but there are reindeers! REINDEERS!? If you have children or if you’re like me and a big kid yourself then you will most likely want to take a trip to Lapland.

Dumont_DUrville_Terre_Adelie_Coast_East_AntarcticaEast Antarctica: this is EXTREME cold and actually isn’t human-friendly, it is the coldest place on earth and can be around -60 degrees during the coldest months! But hey why not still think about going! Being able to brag about how you managed to endure such a ridiculous climate you would also be able to check out the penguins! Yes, you heard penguins!!!

So these are just three cold destinations in which you can visit. I personally enjoy going somewhere warm but for all those who enjoy the cold I hope you enjoy reading this and find the perfect cold destination to holiday in!

Dream Holiday Destinations

If you’re a celebrity it is more than likely that you are going to have a large sum of money you are able to spend on anything and everything you wish. So for a celebrity choosing a holiday destination really probably isn’t a problem, and so it is likely most celebrities visit the destinations in which we can only dream of visiting; and just to rub it in a little (not sure why) I have decided to come up with a list of popular destinations in which celebrities holiday.

Saint-Tropez, France. With luscious beaches and the beautiful rays of sun why would this not be a celebrity hot spot!? Saint-Tropez has been said to be the most famous resort in Europe, celebrities such as: Jay Z, Beyonce and the Beckhams have been pictured holidaying here.

Maui, Hawaii. This is one of the most popular holiday destinations for celebrities as it has so much to offer including scuba diving, golfing and so many other interesting things can be done. Celebrities including Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kate Hudson and Ben Affleck have been seen holidaying in Maui.

the caribbean islandsSaint Barthelemy, Caribbean. This is a small, volcanic island located in the northwest Caribbean Sea. It is a fairly small island but attracts a lot of celebrity holiday goers, and is considered one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.

Lake Como, Italy. Italy is a very beautiful destination great for kicking back and relaxing on Lake Como. The lake has been a popular vacation spot for the rich and influential for a long time and is most definitely one to add to the list of dream holiday destinations.

Mykonos. Not only do a lot of celebrities holiday here but some even have their very own houses on Mykonos and like to hang out there in months which aren’t such a popular time for tourists visiting. Greece isn’t one of the most popular destinations, even though it is very luxurious, but for celebrities getting the chance to get away from photographers and gossip this is the ideal destination to get some peace and quiet.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This is a popular destination because its gorgeous and is fairly close to home, which is ideal for celebrities if they want a quick getaway. Celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox and George Clooney are regular visitors of Cabo San Lucas.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia. This is one of the more expensive holiday destinations (making it the perfect candidate to go on a dream holiday destination list). So if you manage to win the lottery this is somewhere you should take the chance to visit as fi you’re not a celebrity it is much harder to come up with the funds for a holiday such as this!

Mallorca, Spain. This is such a classy place and so obviously attracts classy people and a few celebrities even have their own place there!

Malibu. This is a destination not so private, and some celebrities enjoy the fact this isn’t such a private destination. So, if you plan on visiting here (which is more likely in our price range) you could expect to bump into a celebrity as many have been photographed chilling in the beautiful beaches.

Reasons to Book a Villa

There are so many advantages to booking a villa rental instead of booking a hotel. Firstly, if you have a big family or there is a big group of you all going on holiday then it will work out a lot cheaper! Imagine, if there are 10 of you and you can only have 3 or 4 people in each hotel room you will end up having to book another 2 rooms on top of that, which will all together work out a lot more expensive!

Service; there will be no waiting around until the hotel says its times for dinner, you’ll be able to make food whenever you wish, you won’t have maids coming in to do room service and cleaning and so you’ll be able to do what you want. And talking of food, if you rent a villa with a pool you’ll be able to have poolside BBQ’s with as much food as you wish, and will cost you a lot less than paying for one at a 5 star hotel.

Privacy, want to wander round your villa wearing just your bikini or stay in  your pj’s or dressing gown all day long? Then you can, you can do exactly what you want, have your music as loud as you wish, watch DVD’s literally anything as you won’t have anyone coming into your room to clean.

Location, most villas are in the most luxurious destinations in the most beautiful locations, such as beachfront, ocean views or even on private islands. Most villas are also very tasteful and comfortable making the whole holiday experience amazing.

Security, you won’t have to worry about paying extra money for a safety deposit box or even any of the other extras that hotels make you pay including air conditioning and extra fans. Finally, if you go out of season you will find some amazing deals, especially if you have flexibility when it comes to the dates of going.

So if this isn’t enough to persuade you as to why you should rent a villa on holiday then I don’t know what is!

Romantic Short Breaks

Taking your loved way on a nice romantic short break just to get away from everything and spend some alone time together is always a good idea to do every once in a while. There are a range of destinations and types of accommodation perfect for this. Like renting a villa. Perfect. This will allow you two to spend time together just you two, nobody else around to be able to bother you, and it also means you can cook each other romantic meals in the evening or perhaps go out for romantic meals in the evening as you’ll be able to do exactly what you like.

Destinations perfect to rent a villa for a short romantic getaway would be France. France is always a tick in the box for short getaways and definitely a good one for a romantic holiday. With all the beautiful sights to see including the Eiffel Tower and all the beautiful restaurants and cuisine available it is the perfect place.
